I had the pleasure of visiting The Wooden Spoon while in town visiting my son, and I’m so glad we stopped in. The food was really good — comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. But what truly made the experience memorable was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Even though I was just visiting, they made the visit feel special, and it was clear they genuinely care about their guests. My son lives in the area and will definitely be going back — and after such a positive experience, I know I’ll be back next time I’m in town, too. If you’re looking for a place with good food and even better people, The Wooden Spoon is well worth a visit.

Fantastic breakfast and lunch spot! Always great service, atmosphere, and the food is consistently awesome. The biscuits are Popeyes-level thick, so maybe order that extra glass of water you were thinking about.

Great spot to get a hot meal. The service was awesome from the initial seating and our server Caroline. Caroline was so pleasant. This was our 1st time, but not our last! Great Place!! Good FOOD - Thanks!!

Five Stars Isn’t Enough. On a spontaneous trip to Key West, we decided to overnight in Marathon — and what a lucky move that turned out to be. Our original breakfast spot wasn’t open early enough, so we took a chance on The Wooden Spoon. One word: WOW. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuine — the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. But the real star? The food. We tried the homemade banana bread French toast — and I’m still dreaming about it. Perfectly caramelized on the outside, fluffy inside, and packed with real flavor, not just sugar. Every bite was a throwback to comfort food done right. You can tell everything is made with care. This is the kind of place that feels like home, but better. A true five-star gem in the Florida Keys — don’t miss it.

Diner style similar to Waffle House yet with a FL Keys twist. Prices reasonable and staff is friendly. Recommend getting here with time to spare.

This place is THE spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Delicious, great atmosphere, great friendly service. I recently brought a school group and they accommodated us, no problem at all, treated us like family. The food was amazing, too! I recommend the southern sausage omelet.

I absolutely love you guys. I am recommending them with high honors. This establishment is heartwarming , pleasant, and ready to bring great food awesome vibes bussin with the taste a wonderful place to rest and regroup for the day. There's many options I went with the corn beef hash. Aaron's the cook he was sent from heaven, so tip him well. She is amazing swiftly caring for each table. Accurately, thank you all for being here. Yummy!!! While visiting the Florida Keys, we stopped by this local restaurant to eat breakfast and found the parking lot was almost full. Now I know why the food was awesome and the friendly service was second to none. As you can see by my photos, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. Next time I’m in the Florida Keys I will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend the chocolate chip pancakes. They were delicious..
